The image of an Israeli/Zionist alliance with white South Africa is of the same character as the myth that Apartheid was profitable to capitalism, or that there was a secret alliance between South Africa and the CIA/USA. It is claimed that Israel as an “apartheid state” shared a kinship with White South Africa based on neo-colonialism and racism. The doctrinaire assumptions obscure the real nature of the relationship not only between Israel and South Africa but of Israel as a claimant to the leadership of a world anti-imperialist struggle, in rivalry with other claimants such as the USA, USSR, China, Nasser, Nkrumah, Sukarno et al.
