Boost C++ Libraries
Where the next generation of C++ takes shape
For more than a quarter century, Boost has set the standard for C++ library engineering. We’re a collection of free, peer-reviewed, portable C++ source libraries maintained by an open community of world-class engineers. From high performance containers and networking to numerical computing and coroutines. Smart pointers, filesystem, regex, variant: they became part of modern C++ because the Boost community built them first and proved they belonged there.
Come Find Us At CppCon
We’ll be in the Boost Lounge upstairs. Come for the games, the film’s audience preview, and the announcements. Stay because you won’t want to leave.
Relax in the Boost Lounge
Our home base at CppCon. Sink into a couch. Challenge someone to Pac-Man or Space Invaders. Grab a latte from our barista (all day). Munch on popcorn. Watch live interviews with Boost developers. Or just sit and talk code with people who enjoy the same libraries you use.

Meet the people behind the code
Special guest interviewees will appear live in the lounge. Ask your questions, share how you use Boost, or just listen in. No stage. No filter. Just real talks with the real people who build the foundation of modern C++.
Play the Boost CCG
The beloved Boost playing cards are back with an official release and expansion. You can even find an exclusive 2026 starter deck in your CppCon swag bag for this collectible card game along with trading cards featuring your favorite libraries. Challenge a library author, trade for a rare Beast card — and do it all before decks run out.

Learn from Boost developers
Catch talks from Vinnie Falco and other contributors. Attend the Boost update session for news you won’t hear anywhere else. And watch for a few surprises we’re still cooking up.
Play the classics
Think you can win the high score? You’ll find a lineup of classic arcade cabinets waiting at the end of the Boost Lounge — free to play, all conference long.

Defender, Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong Jr., and Mach Storm
Watch the Boost Documentary (Exclusive Audience Preview)
A feature-length film about the history of Boost and the C++ Standard Library Wednesday, Sept 16 at 6 PM, in the main conference room (Colorado A). Stay after for a Q&A with the director. This is the first time anyone’s told this story on screen. Don’t miss it.
Come see what’s next — we’ll save you a seat in the lounge.
Get involved
The world’s most demanding organizations use Boost. Aerospace, defense, high frequency trading systems, video games, large scale database engines. And through the Boost Software License, every line of every library is freely available for commercial and open source use alike, with no obligation to release your code.
Whether you’ve been with Boost for years or you’re just getting started, there’s a place for you. Stop by the lounge. Catch a talk. Watch the film. Play a hand of the CCG. We’re transparent, collaborative, and supportive. Always have been. Always will be.
