David Toaff

David Toaff’s career in mortgage banking is characterized by a series of notable achievements, making him a distinguished figure in the industry. As a Senior Loan Officer and Sales Manager specializing in Residential Mortgage Banking, he has consistently demonstrated top-tier performance, placing him within the upper 1% of loan officers across the United States annually from 2016 to 2023. His exceptional skills and dedication were recognized on a national level, earning him a place among the Top 500 Loan Officers in the United States for 2017 and 2018, according to the Scotsman Guide. From 2018 to 2021, his outstanding contributions were further acknowledged with the Elite 8 Award from First Home Mortgage. His sustained excellence also secured his place in the Leaders Club for a remarkable stretch from 2016 to 2023.

Away from his professional endeavors, David has a profound passion for breakdancing, a hobby that took root during his youth. At 14, inspired by the dynamic performances of young dancers outside Penn Station in New York City, he embraced breakdancing. For him, this form of freestyle dancing is not only a source of immense enjoyment but also a means of creative expression and social interaction, transcending the confines of conventional right and wrong.

Toaff’s commitment to making a positive impact extends into his philanthropic efforts. He has been a staunch supporter of the Beit Elazraki Children’s Orphanage in Israel since 2014. His charitable endeavors broadened to include backing for the Wounded Warriors project starting in 2016 and Magen David Adom from 2017. In 2019, he dedicated his efforts to The Salvation Army in Washington, DC, and expanded his support to the Manna Food Bank in 2023. Notably, his commitment to philanthropy began at the young age of 16, when he started assisting homeless individuals, underscoring his inherent desire to give back to the community.

This April, he celebrates a significant milestone – his 11th year with First Home Mortgage. This tenure symbolizes over a decade of unwavering dedication to the company. He is also keenly anticipating a Homebuyer Seminar, collaborating with Realtor Terinee Bonds on March 27 and April 10 at Keller Williams in Hyattsville, MD. This event highlights his commitment to education and his eagerness to share his expertise.

David Shlomo Toaff’s life is a narrative of exceptional professional success, a vigorous pursuit of personal interests, and a dedicated involvement in community service. His journey exemplifies how one can achieve professional acclaim while passionately pursuing personal interests and actively engaging in social responsibilities.

The Toaff Team of First Home Mortgage is proud to be a true equal housing lending team since 2013. We offer down payment & closing cost assistance programs in DC, MD, VA, PA & GA. These programs are primarily for first-time homebuyers, but throughout MD, we can offer assistance for those who aren’t first-timers as well. Of particular significance are $15,000 grants for first responders, up to $25,000 in grant money in Montgomery County, MD and over $100,000 in assistance available in Washington, DC. Another very interesting perk available is to first-time homebuyers in N. VA is the SPARC program, which allows for a 1% reduction in interest rate, with no additional cost to secure the below-market terms! This can be combined with either a 2% grant or 3% assistance loan, allowing for either 1% down or zero-down financing.

We also have a zero-down, no mortgage insurance product available, down to a 620 credit score. The program is more affordable than and can be closed faster than a similar program from Navy Federal Credit Union. Not to mention, our team is available 7 days a week and can be reached on evenings too.

We’d love to hear from you, if you’d like more information on our various assistance programs or the myriad of other options as well. Please contact us at toaffteam@firsthome.com to set up a secure consultation today!
