IUSD Nutrition Services is committed to providing students with healthy, fresh, and nourishing meals every day. Our team prepares more than 12,000 breakfasts and nearly 17,000 lunches each day. Meals are prepared fresh daily in IUSD kitchens, with high school meals prepared on site and meals for elementary and middle school students prepared at an off-campus IUSD kitchen and delivered to each campus.
Additionally, through partnerships with local farmers, including Sunrise Produce and Old Grove Orange, our Farm to Table Program provides fresh fruits and vegetables, such as watermelon, plums, organic apples and baby Persian cucumbers, to students during meal times. These practices help Nutrition Services ensure students have access to fresh, nutritious foods that fuel learning and success.
Free School Meals for All IUSD Students
We know that nutritious, delicious meals help students learn, stay engaged, and thrive throughout the school day. That's why we're pleased to continue offering free breakfast and lunch to all students during the 2026–27 school year. No applications are required. Visit your school’s website for more information.
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Families
We want to ensure our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten families, who have AM and PM schedules, are also aware that their students have access to two meals each day. Please ask your student’s teacher for more information about meal times.
