I exported some of the models created in Neobarok into Sketchfab and you can now visualize them in 3D. The model Pandemonia and full tutorial will also be offered as part of the Humanoid perk (and above): http://igg.me/at/neobarok
Two weeks remain if you want to contribute to keeping Neobarok free!
Crowdfunding – 1st UPDATE
May 10, 2016 § Leave a comment
Here is a quick update on the crowdfunding campaign:
Many have demanded more details about the Book: it will contain mostly art, both digital and traditional illustrations. A small selection is shown below:
Some of the artworks come with the process of creation, from sketch to digital painting, and for a couple this will be extended to the final 3D model in Neobarok like the “Erebus”:
Traditional sketch (left), digital illustration (right), Neobarok 3D model (bottom):
Here is also a live modeling session in Neobarok, showing the improved Tube tool available in the next release, used to create the horns of a character. Painting with light on tubes (horns) vs general meshes (head) is also shown.
The automatic Chain tool is also part of the next release. Below is an example where Chains were drawn directly on the character (same as the Tubes) and were further sculpted using the same tools as the ones shown in the previous video:
Two more models are added to the Humanoid package: the male and female 3D head models sculpted in Neobarok and used in the above videos are now part of all perks superior to 20$. These models can help to quickly set up your character and try various techniques:

Inverse Kinematics
April 4, 2016 § Leave a comment
I implemented a rudimentary version of Inverse Kinematics which makes positioning complex assemblies so much easier. The method only handles linear chains of objects and does not consider transformation constraints at joints for now. A few other interesting features will be added to the IK framework in time.
