Frequently asked

Questions? We've got answers.

What virtual care programs does OpenLoop offer?

OpenLoop supports 30+ virtual care programs including weight management, hormone therapy, peptides, sexual health, microdosing, diagnostic testing, sleep apnea testing, registered dietitians, dermatology, supplements, mental health, behavioral health, urgent care, and more.

Are OpenLoop medications prescribed by licensed clinicians?

Yes. All medications available through OpenLoop programs are prescribed only by licensed clinicians when deemed medically appropriate. Compounded medications are patient-specific and prescribed on a case-by-case basis.

The FDA does not approve nor review compounded products for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Medications will only be prescribed by a licensed clinician if deemed medically appropriate and to meet patient requirements after a thorough consultation. Not available in all 50 states. See our website for full details, important safety information, and applicable restrictions.

How does pharmacy fulfillment work?

OpenLoop has built a robust, nationwide pharmacy and lab diagnostics network. Once a clinician prescribes, medications are routed directly to the pharmacy and shipped to the patient.

Can I launch just one program, or do I need to offer all of them?

You can start with the programs most relevant to your audience and add more as you grow. OpenLoop’s platform is modular by design.

How do registered dietitian and coaching services work?

Patients can access personal care coaches and registered dietitians directly through their care program. These services are designed to complement clinical programs — supporting better outcomes and adherence.

What programs are available for GLP-1 aftercare?

OpenLoop offers registered dietitian services, coaching, and supplement programs that integrate directly with GLP-1 programs to support patients transitioning off medication and maintaining results.

How are microdosing and peptide programs handled from a clinical compliance standpoint?

Both are clinician-supervised programs built on OpenLoop’s clinically compliant infrastructure. We only offer Category 1 peptides approved for 503A compounding by the FDA. Compounded medications are patient-specific and only prescribed when a licensed clinician deems them appropriate.
