I have written hundreds of columns, feature articles, blog posts, and other short-form copy, including over 250 newspaper columns. I have experience in editing, newsletter production, social media, and website management.

My non-fiction has appeared in Athens Magazine, Atlanta Homeschool, Barrow Journal, Georgia Backroads, Georgia Connector, and home/school/life magazine. I recorded several essays on Georgia Public Radio, and I wrote about my family’s homeschooling journey on mamaofletters.com for over twelve years. Finally, I served as Senior Editor and writer for home/school/life magazine for a number of years while I homeschooled my children.

I am a creative. I have enjoyed creating online content for almost twenty years as well as keeping hand-written journals and sketches.

mentor

While homeschooling, I learned how to be a better mentor to my children by teaching myself project-based homeschooling techniques. Now I’m working on a new website and a go-at-your-own-pace class for current homeschool parents who would like to gain these skills.
