The only feedback I have is I wish I found it sooner. With Sugar Sense, I am able to see where my number is trending. The alerts when I am 90 or 80 saying I’ll be low in 20 minutes is a game changer. That has helped me stay in range more and helped me not correct too soon.

It has changed the way I manage my diabetes. I use a Dexcom ONE+ sensor and this app has given me the fast rise/fall and the urgent low soon alerts. This really helps me prevent hypos and act faster than I normally could. I don’t normally write reviews but this app is certainly worth downloading.

This app is absolutely fantastic, running like a dream, helping AI help me and my type 1 diabetes that I’ve struggled with control of for 45 years. Thank you so much.

I can see my blood glucose readings on my watch and I can put a chart on my phone lock screen, meaning I can stay always up to date. In addition it will send and receive to Health, a feature I desperately wanted for the FreeStyle Libre.

I am totally impressed how this app looks. Very clean user interface and impressive user experience, navigating the app is super easy and enjoyable.

Sugar Sense works with FreeStyle Libre sensors through LibreLinkUp, with Dexcom sensors through Dexcom Share, and with self-hosted Nightscout sites. You simply connect your existing CGM account (or your Nightscout URL and a read-only token), with no extra hardware required.
Yes. If you run a self-hosted Nightscout site, Sugar Sense connects to it with your site URL and a read-only access token and shows your glucose on iPhone and Apple Watch with the same alerts and sharing as any other source. Our Nightscout setup and troubleshooting guide walks you through it step by step.
Yes. You can log readings from your blood glucose meter in seconds, or let the app read glucose you already save to Apple Health. You get the same graphs, statistics, logbook and reports; automatic alerts stay off, because they need a live CGM stream.
Yes. Live glucose, graphs, statistics, your logbook, Apple Health and every core alert (including the predictive “heading-low” alert and fully custom thresholds) are free. A premium subscription adds the AI features (food-photo carb estimate and AI insights), Apple Watch, Live Activity / Dynamic Island and emergency calling.
Yes. You can switch between mg/dL and mmol/L at any time in Settings, and every surface follows: graphs, alerts, statistics, the watch, widgets and reports.
Yes. Alongside standard high and low alerts, Sugar Sense includes a predictive “heading-low” alert that warns you when your glucose is trending toward a low, so you can act early. Every alert is customisable.
Yes. With Care Circle, the people you choose can follow your readings in real time and receive the same low and high alerts you do, with an optional emergency call, so you are never managing things alone.
Yes. Sugar Sense shows your glucose and trend on the Apple Watch (with complications), in a Live Activity and the Dynamic Island, and in home-screen widgets, so your number is always a glance away.
Yes. Enable the free Sugar Sense skill for Amazon Alexa, link your Sugar Sense account, and say “Alexa, ask Sugar Sense what’s my glucose” on any Echo to hear your latest reading, its trend and how fresh it is. On Echo Show devices the answer also appears on screen with a 3-hour graph. For a shorter phrase, create an Alexa Routine: your own trigger phrase (like “what’s my sugar”) plus a Customized action with the text “ask sugar sense what’s my glucose”.
