As the summer winding down, I am jazzing up my Ski & Snowboard Services page a bit. Had so much fun playing around with NaN Tresor, designed by Christoph Koeberlin. If you live around DMV and needed ski and snowboard tune up, hit me up.

We spent two sessions (almost 4 hours) snowboarding at Big Snow yesterday. Xuân enjoyed riding and grinding at the trick terrain. Vương enjoyed skiing up and down the hills. I tried to hit the boxes, but I couldn’t figure out how to land on my board. After a couple of falls, my body started to feel the pain. Highlights of our time at Big Snow.
Allow me to reintroduce myself [shameless self-promotion]:
Donny Trương serves as the Director of Design & Web Services at Scalia Law, where he leads the law school’s digital experience with a strong focus on accessibility and usability.
Trương holds an MA in Graphic Design from George Mason University’s School of Art and a BA in Digital Art and Multimedia Design from La Salle University.
Outside of work, he is an avid snowboarder, skier, rollerblader, and skateboarder. During the winter, he teaches snowboarding and skiing at Whitetail Resort.
With a new photo, I brushed up my bio a bit on Scalia Law School website.
Yes, it’s only July, but I already revised my Snowboard & Ski Instructor page. The previous version was typeset in Roslindale, designed by David Jonathan Ross. With the new version, I kept Roslindale as display text and brought in Ottavio, also designed by David, for body text. Sharing his exploration of shapes for Ottavio, David writes, “the idea that an inherently unbalanced object can achieve balance through a sense of constant motion.” I love that concept and how it relates to skiing and snowboarding. I can’t wait to get back on the piste.
Vova Egoshin launched a new website for his type foundry. I love the white and blue look and feel. His display typefaces are very playful too. I licensed Zord and Spukies. Even though both of these typefaces are still work in progress, I hope that Vova will support Vietnamese in the future.
If you are interested in his typefaces, he’s running the first month’s 50% off with the code VOVARULES.
The final World Cup 2026 comes down to Argentina vs. Spain. Which country will take home the 18-carat solid gold trophy?
In this tournament, Spain had played with consistent balance. They played well together as a coherent unit. Their defense had been tight. Their goalkeeper, Unai Simón, only allowed one goal throughout the tournament. Furthermore, Midfielder Rodri had the center of the field under his control. He had been the key player to keep Spain in balance.
On the other side, Argentina was less balance, but the players went all out. As soon as they were down one goal, they went full attack mode. As the clock went on, Messi became more effective in mapping out the entire game in his head. He figured out all the pockets. He knew exactly where to send the ball. He had been dangerous because he played chess while other players played checker.
If I have to predict, I have to go with Argentina. It will be hard to score on Simón, but Messi will find his way. We’ll wait and find out this Sunday.
