Important Update: APRU VSE Programme Conclusion
The APRU Virtual Student Exchange (VSE) Programme will officially conclude at the end of Season 3, 2025-26.

Launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the VSE was created to sustain international learning when travel was not possible. Over its run, it connected the students across 45 member universities, offered access to 1,300+ online courses, supported nearly 4,900 course enrolments, and engaged thousands of participants through 109 co-curricular programmes.

With in-person student mobility gradually resuming across the region, we are now closing this chapter to explore new and innovative ways for students to collaborate within the APRU network.

We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making the VSE a vibrant and impactful community. Stay tuned for future APRU opportunities and activities on Instagram and X!

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), a network of 61 leading universities in the Americas, Asia and Australasia, brings to its students an exclusive opportunity to connect with peers from around the world to learn new knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and cultures, and develop connections vital for success in the 21st Century.

The APRU Virtual Student Exchange (VSE) Program, led by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, makes international education accessible by allowing students to take academic courses and participate in co-curricular programs without the need to leave home. It opens up international education for all students by providing an immersive virtual student exchange experience through digital technologies and platforms and creating encounters with new ideas, cultures, experts, academics and students from around the world.
