WorkAbility’s Annual Gala
Exciting News!
For over a decade, we have been dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with special needs to learn, work, and thrive. Our next exciting step is the launch of Work-A-Latte—a community coffee shop designed to provide real-world job training and meaningful employment.
In 2018, we received a generous donation of the historic Schlosberg Building at 140 Gadsden Street in downtown Chester. After thoughtful planning, we partnered with Kuester Commercial Properties of Fort Mill, SC to restore and revitalize this landmark. Scheduled to open in early 2026, the renovated building will feature 11 residential apartments, retail and restaurant space, and our coffee shop at its heart.
We are now seeking financial support to complete the interior of Work-A-Latte, including equipment, furnishings, start-up costs, and salaries for job coaches, a manager, and our special needs team members. Every contribution—whether through storage donations, volunteering, or financial gifts—helps us empower our community members to reach their full potential.
