What's New in Travelling Exhibitions? are two fast paced 75 minute showcases of current and upcoming travelling exhibitions relevant to our audience and available for rent across the world.

In only 4 minutes, presenters promote a single travelling exhibition which has not been presented at Ecsite's Flagship Event before. If you are looking for your next Travelling Exhibition this is a great way to see up to 30 travelling exhibitions currently on the market.

The Bazaar

Following the long term success of the Grand Bazaar and the new in 2026 Inspiration Bazaar, we are pleased to merge them for 2027 into The Bazaar.

Meet enthusiastic experts and presenters sharing their best hands-on activities, science demonstrations or their resources, projects, or other activities.

Functioning just like a real bazaar, it takes place in a large, open room where speakers present their activities at individual tables, while participants wander between them to hear the latest updates.

This is the ideal place to get lots of quick inspiration to take home and implement in your organisation.

The Keynotes

Our Flagship Event brings together inspiring keynote speakers who offer fresh perspectives, challenge thinking and explore the big ideas shaping the future of our sector.

Expect thought-provoking insights, new perspectives and plenty to take away and apply in your own work.

The Trade Show

At the heart of our Flagship Event is the Trade Show where 50+ booths are made available to organisations, offering a platform to present and promote their services, products, and innovations to science communicators and museum professionals.

For participants, the Trade Show offers an array of products and services for our field. Suppliers range from lighting to VR, retail products to complete museum fit-outs, and ticketing to digital solutions. It is a great way to meet great suppliers experienced in and understanding of the needs of our sector. 

The Gateway

Our annual opening night event, The Gateway is a relaxed and welcoming evening of connection and conversation.

This is the ideal event to meet like-minded peers, make new collaborations, or meet up with old aquaintances at this informal networking opportunity.  Attendance is  included in the Main Event ticket package.

The Nocturne

On the evening of the second day our host welcomes us to this networking event at their Museum or Science Centre. 

The Nocturne is a unique opportunity to experience everything our host has to offer, to exchange knowledge and gain ideas to take back to your organisation. 

Of course it's not all work, there is plenty of entertainment too.

Attendance is included in the Main Event ticket package.

Onboarding Apero

At the Onboarding Apero, new members are welcomed in person to the network by the Ecsite Board. This invitation-only, informal, networking event is a great opportunity to meet other new members and of course to connect with the Ecsite Board.

We welcome anyone from member organisations that have joined the Ecsite network in the 12 months before the event.

First Timers Breakfast

For those who are joining our Flagship Event for the first time, our Programming Committee host the aptly named First Timers Breakfast. It is a friendly space to connect and get tips for making the most of the event. Hosted on the first day of the event, so you'll be able to spot familiar faces during the rest of the event.

Limited to 100 participants, registration requires an addtional fee and is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

The Farewell 

Taking place after the closing ceremony of the Main Event, The Farewell is an opportunity to network with your new connections and old friends one last time. An informal and unstructured event, The Farewell is a great place to reflect together on what you've learned and how you will take it back to your organisation. And of course, it wouldn't be a closing event without some dancing!

Deep Dives

Deep Dives are small group, 4-hour long intensive learning and professional development workshops taking place before the Main Event. Each year we host around 5 different Deep Dives on a diverse range of topics of current relevance to our field.

Deep Dives are not only valuable learning opportunities but also excellent for peer learning and networking with individuals with similar interests to yourself. Always interactive with concrete outcomes Deep Dives are a great way to start your Ecsite experience.

CEO Focus

The CEO Focus allows CEOs and C-suite directors from Full & Associate member institutions to discuss and share key challenges based on their interests and organisational needs. 

A combination of knowledge sharing, peer exchange and networking, the CEO Focus is an excellent opportunity to connect with Senior Directors from our field. 

Open to only 50 particpants, registration requires an additional fee and is on a first come, first served basis. 

Marketing Focus

The Marketing Focus brings together marketers from Ecsite member organisations to discuss key industry topics, foster connections, and share valuable insights.

With expert presentations on relevant topics with ample time for solution creation, the Marketing Focus is the ideal opportunity go in-depth on subjects we are facing in this rapidly changing world.
