SELICHOT

The Saturday evening prior to Rosh Hashanah is the time to officially welcome the High Holidays. We do so through communal study and the recitation of penitential prayers (known as selichot).

Please join us in-person for Selichot. After schmoozing, snacking, and Havdalah, we will watch & discuss a series of short films that address repentance, community, & connection. We will then hold a brief Selichot service and hear the shofar blast for the first time. Contact Rona for location details.

Join us as we celebrate the start of a new lunar month. Together, we’ll sing, reflect, and explore the themes of the Hebrew month of Sivan.

While this gathering is focused on those who identify as women or nonbinary, people of all gender expressions are welcome to come learn and help elevate these voices.

JOIN HAKAFA'S HIGH HOLIDAY CHOIR!

Enthusiastic singers are wanted to join our dedicated choir for the High Holidays! To fill the sanctuary with sound, we are counting on several new members to join us. All are welcome, but we especially need sopranos.

If you are interested in singing us, please contact Cantor Joanna Lind by August 1 and plan to attend the six rehearsals from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/1, 9/10, and 9/15.
