Recently, a post by Bo Guagua, son of the disgraced red aristocrat Bo Xilai, trying to resurrect his father’s reputation made waves on X. Here is my take on Bo Xilai, based on my own understanding
Imagine having such wealth that you now have diplomats representing you in countries they travel to. @mayemusk is @elonmusk best diplomat, especially to China. It's really quite impressive. She seems to be very likeable.
China and America, as the two current hegemons, are inevitably cast on adversarial sides. That's the neat story. Plenty still remain enamoured with the sound-bitey Thucydides Trap, a notion built on such shoddy selection bias that it reeks of Bronze Age thinking.
