Sea surface temperatures are well above normal in many parts of the world including South of Ireland which is up to 19.5c and 2.5c above average for this time of year. This could increase rainfall levels if or when we do see rain move up from South with risk of flooding returning

- Latest total rainfall forecast for next 7 days across 4 different models. The South and Southeast sadly continue to see lowest amounts on most models and generally expected to be mainly showers.
- Still warm and humid Monday with good sunny spells in South and East later in afternoon and evening. Tuesday will be cooler and fresher with a lot of cloud and some showers. More showers expected Wednesday and some possibly heavy in North and West.
- Showers crossing the country this morning with some heavy bursts around Dublin with cloud for most. Showers will well scattered for rest of today with many very light. Feeling fresher with only the Southeast coast likely to break 20c.
