    The people are not always right. Moral courage is always necessary in leadership. And we cannot ever think that we have permanently vanquished the ideas that Trump and so many others before him have used to lead so many Americans astray.

    Mister Colby is wrong. According to NATO data Germany is expected to spend about 2.69% of its GDP for core defense, the US 3.17% in 2026.     We're living through a period of self-inflicted vulnerability. Through its incompetence and arrogance the Trump administration has stripped us of our best missile defenses while engaging in a poorly-planned war. And we're potentially facing one of only two militaries in the world
