    There is a separate discussion about how we define unhealthy products - the current HFSS definition and classification is shot through with loopholes. But, as a first step, a clear label on products that are agreed to be unhealthy is surely better for consumers than the current

    This is a very bad idea if it is based on the 2018 NPM which by omission determines modified starches, emulsifiers and artificial sweeteners as 'healthy'. Fat, sat fat, sugar and salt are not 'unhealthy nutrients' as Vogel baldly states. Dose-response is critical when it comes

    In the UK we have a government definition of unhealthy food: โ€˜HFSSโ€™ - High in Fat, Salt and Sugar. Whether a product is โ€˜HFSSโ€™ is calculated using an equation (called the NPM 2004/5 if you want to know) that weighs stuff to limit (saturated fat, sugar and sodium etc) against ok
