GuestHop grew fast. But cleaning quality didn’t scale. The problem wasn’t cleaners. It was no shared standard. Properly added photo checklists and verification to create consistency and catch issues before guests arrived. Quality at scale comes from systems, not firefighting.

Most guest complaints aren’t surprises. They’re patterns: hair, odors, broken basics, missing supplies, or a listing that doesn’t match reality. All are preventable with one thing: a checklist + verification before every guest. Which one have you dealt with most?

Your cleaner cancels at 8am. Check-in is at 2pm. Panic means the backup system is missing. Smart hosts confirm a backup, agree on same-day rates, keep the Properly Marketplace ready, and update guests early if needed. Cancellations happen. What’s your backup plan?

Reliable service providers aren’t managed by luck. Professional hosts set clear expectations, pay on time, document feedback, build backups, and balance appreciation with accountability. Clear, fair, consistent systems build the best teams. What’s your biggest challenge?

Revenue cuts rates 15%. Marketing launches a 20% promo. Ops pulls units offline for maintenance. Owner relations promised full calendars. Four people did their jobs. None were wrong. You find out in the October P&L. Shoulder season doesn't cost you money. Uncoordinated teams do.
