    The EU just moved a deadline. It did not move the work. On June 29 the Council approved the Digital Omnibus. High-risk AI obligations under the AI Act now fall due December 2, 2027 instead of August 2, 2026. Sixteen months of breathing room. Most teams read it as relief.
