When you become an engineer in Canada, you take an oath To never cause harm/suffering/etc to humans as a result of your work This applies equally, if not more, to business Both can be used for good (to remove suffering) or evil (to add it) Do good work. Don't be evil

My hot take is that a human should never read another human’s AI output The writer labors so the reader need not

Bad advice: I sent investor updates monthly for the first five years of the company Anytime something hit the fan, people were there Consistency matters

founders: only send investor updates when you're winning. Listen has sent 3 in its history. All fundraise announcements. Nobody reads a bad update and helps. They just mark you as dying.

The goal is frictionless software If you have to wait on compute, instead of intelligence, your "cloud" isn't instant enough

AI is dramatically lowering the barriers to building software. "Everyone has a seat at the table and the best ideas should win." @Railway founder @JustJake: "People should be able to build and deploy anything, [and] they should never have their users' data at risk."

Resy is working on showing Tock restaurants in its search results
Resy showing a San Francisco restaurant that uses Tock, with reservation times surfaced directly in Resy. Selecting a time opens an interstitial saying “Tock is now part of the Resy network” and redirects users to Tock to complete the booking.
