First morning in weeks that I woke up without an active attack attempt against any of my servers. Oh wait, never mind an xmlrpc.php attack against matlipe.com in progress. CPU is at 0.02/0.05/0.10. Silly attackers wasting more of their own resources than mine.

That awkward moment when you're building your own version of a tool to avoid paying the $6.50 a month subscription and you realize your version is so much better. So what do you do? Launch a commercial version to complete against a company you respect or keep it for yourself?

WordPress announced today they are going to greatly slowdown the cadence of releases. Thrilled we can get back to work and not constantly triage WordPress updates. Finally, something good came out of Automattic's campaign against their own community.

Thank God for unit tests! I couldn't imagine trying to implement new API by myself without a test suite to verify all the things I can't remember. TDD FTW. 😏
