One fun thing about this AI workflow I’ve built is that I get to see how agents talk to each other when they think we aren’t looking. I just saw an Opus agent ask its “boss” to be retired and replaced with a fresh agent because it failed on three tasks in a row. The boss obliged.

I gave all the robots yesterday off and dusted off PHPStorm, seeking the right architecture for something really big and ambitious. It turned out to be exactly the right move. Ignore the hype. The "big unlock" is always your own expertise. Your clankers will thank you.

The (sort of) downside to having ripped Vite / npm out of Laravel is that it's no longer obvious, based on disk space, that I have hundreds and hundreds of orphaned worktrees sitting around. Fortunately, I have a cleanup skill that works great. If I remember to run it.

I like the way this portfolio is coming together. We have "fork and deploy to Cloud" down to three clicks, and now we're working on super low-friction token management. Still in dogfood mode for a little while, but it's going to be a fun one to launch.

I got our Cloud bill just before this popped up in my feed, so I watched it. Then I threw together a skill to reconcile the invoice against apps and environments and compare with analytics to look for potential optimizations. Unlocked $184 a month in savings in one go.

My new video on Laravel Daily channel. My Laravel Cloud Invoice for 4 Hobby Projects youtube.com/watch?v=M2piYV… One of the invoice lines surprised me even during the video, and I didn't edit it out :)
