Congratulations to the Big Bank Lobby & Sen. Elizabeth Warren on defeating the Clarity Act (for now). Now: 1. Trump & his family can continue to do whatever they want in crypto; and 2. Crypto exchanges can continue paying unlimited yield on stablecoin deposits. Well played.

The cause of the “affordability crisis” is not some big mystery. It was caused by politicians in Washington with the encouragement of the lobbyists. I’m actually surprised young people aren’t more incensed about this.👇

There are calls for replacing @LeaderJohnThune as Senate Leader. Here’s the math: 5 Republican Senators can force a vote to elect a new Leader. Then 27 Republican Senators would need to vote for someone other than Thune (a simple majority of the 53 Republican Senators).

The Senate has left for recess. Voter ID failed. No vote was taken on the Clarity Act. @LeaderJohnThune “filed cloture” on the Clarity Act but there will be no actual vote on the Clarity Act until the Senate returns in September (if then).

We just finished Todd Blanche is now confirmed CR passed Voter ID failed We had the first adjournment vote in decades, but those of us voting to stay were outvoted by those who wanted to leave for the next five weeks We’ll keep fighting This isn’t over Far from it
