    Every day, our crews from Kitsap to Kittitas County work to keep power flowing safely to homes and businesses across the communities we serve. This means maintaining 26,000 miles of power lines, nearly 400 substations and more than 338,000 utility poles. (1/2)

    8/11 is National Safe Digging Day and we want to remind you that what you can’t see could hurt you. Underground utility lines can cost you if you damage them but calling 811 is free! Before you start ANY digging project, always contact 811 at least two days before you start.
    Don't let a small project cause a big problem! 811 is your first step to safety for all digging projects, regardless of size. Keep yourself, your community, and undergorund utilities safet his summer and all year-round by calling 811 or going online to 811beforeyoudig.com before putting a shovel in the ground.     Crews were on Vashon Island recently working on wildfire mitigation projects. They first replaced damaged and old poles with new poles, which were installed with fire retardant pole wraps. These poles are more resistant to fire, which helps improve system integrity. (1/3)

    One quick look up could save your life. Before starting summer projects, check for overhead power lines. Keep ladders, tools—and even Mylar balloons—at least 10 feet away. Near contact can cause a dangerous arc flash. Stay safe and learn more at: ms.spr.ly/6019a6Mh3
