    I’m surprised people think that an AI-derived medicine would change the public perception of the industry. People don’t even like pharmaceutical companies who do nothing but produce medicine!

    It would be hard to claim either of these as a win for AI - solving problems that are neglected by humans is an EA pitch, not an AI capabilities demonstration. For vaccines how does AI really help us design a better antigen/adjuvant when a virus like common cold has intractable

    I spent a lot of time at OpenAI thinking about how to address human disease with AI. If I wanted to maximize the chances of curing one disease within 5 years, what would be my strategy? Ideally, we'd focus on ailments with the following properties: - Underfunded: AI companies
