    La Cambe German Military Cemetery west of Bayeux. Deeply Germanic as you would expect. Designed by Robert Tischler. Opened 1961. 21,000 burials (10% SS). Basalt crosses, groves of oak, tumulus: huge contrast with Allied sites. Superb info centre, very powerful. @Volksbund
