There are many Discord alternatives, many of which we've used, but none of them until Armada solved the core problem: an identity you truly own to prevent platform-level censorship, and encryption to prevent server/admin spying and data harvesting.

This is a great breakdown of the problem with Discord. Unfortunately, many of the solutions they name don't truly solve the underlying problem because they are not encrypted, not truly decentralized, or neither. That's why we built Armada.
