On this day 15 years ago (Aug. 26, 2011), Kassey Kallman's header for a goal in the 10th minute accounted for all the scoring as Florida State soccer topped New Mexico in its home opener, 1-0. Jessica Price tallied the assist. Goalkeeper Kelsey Wys recorded two saves in the win.

On this day 20 years ago, Florida State volleyball opened with straight-set wins over Mississippi Valley State and host Mercer. Vs. MVSU, Makini Thompson, Sarah Griffin, Jessica Skower and Malorie Wessel each finished with nine kills. Wessell led FSU with 12 kills vs. Mercer.

On this day 14 years ago (Aug. 24, 2012), Florida State volleyball opened the season with a road sweep of Tennessee in a top-15 showdown. Elise Walch led the Seminoles with seven kills while Katie Mosher paced FSU with nine digs. Duygu Duzceler added a team-high 14 assists.

On this day nine years ago, No. 1 Florida State soccer completed a perfect trip to Albuquerque with a 1-0 victory over No. 23 USC. FSU didn't break through until the 83rd minute when Isabella Schmid put back a saved shot from Cheyna Williams.

On this day five years ago, Florida State soccer rolled to a 4-0 victory over Alabama. After the scoring started with an own goal, Maria Alagoa, Beata Olsson and Giana Mitchell each found the net for FSU. Lauren Flynn, Clara Robbins, Ran Iwai and Jody Brown each added assists.
