    Dylan Cease had given up just 2 HRs in his last 10 starts. He's given up 2 tonight - Wilyer Abreu (21st) and Ceddanne Rafaela (16th) have gone dep to give the Sox a 3-1 lead.

    Miller has served as an opener 10 times with an ERA of 0.84 (1 ER in 10.2 IP). Hasn't done it since 2024. If it's a role he takes to, he could open for Brayan Bello when needed down the stretch.

    Red Sox haven't lost back-to-back games since June 30/July 1. A win tomorrow would keep that streak intact, and give Boston it's 10th consecutive series win.

    Red Sox have lost two games in the last 2 weeks. Both were when they faced Gage Jump. They are 11-0 when anyone else starts against them.
