    The World Gold Council's pitch for digital gold is that ownership stops being constrained by bar sizes, vault locations, fragmented settlement, etc. That's a collateral-mobility argument for tokenization, made by the incumbent trade body.

    London is tokenizing gold to defend a 70% share... defensive tokenization preserves mkt structure: it doesn't replace it... Incumbents have two moves: become the issuers, or make sure issuance runs through them. Expanding the clearing club months before the rules drop covers
