MTG-I2 is safely in orbit! 🚀 Launched on Ariane 6, the satellite has deployed its solar panels and is now powered up. Once operational it will refresh imagery over Europe every 2.5 minutes giving forecasters faster views of severe storms and wildfires. bit.ly/4zJhUfm

Oh, what a night! 🚀 MTG-I2 successfully launched aboard Ariane 6 yesterday. Teams have established communication, solar panels are deployed, and the spacecraft is in good shape to begin the 2-week LEOP journey to reach its 36,000km orbit. 🛰️✨ 📸 ESA/CNES/Arianespace/CSG 🧵1/2
