    AI is just software: Be wary of both the hype and the doom merchants chasing attention. Current tech is as boring and bland as a spreadsheet formula. Useful only when you need one.

    This is why you should listen to my warnings. AI hype presents evals as proof of intelligence. That premise is false. Passing an exam is not evidence of LLM capability. A new paper apparently skips due diligence for what has been known for more than a year. Potemkin
