I cancelled my Claude Max subscription. Even older models (Opus 4.x) seem to be locked down via a new guardrail layer: refusing to engage on a variety of topics that it happily engaged with before: investment strategy, anything copyright-related, medical, etc. Time to explore!

So much Gmail spam! Especially for people who are senior in their roles and have a long online history. Hard to escape the deluge.

gmail exposes me to a dozen obvious spam messages per day. mark as spam seems to do very little. you'd think google would have some vested interest in keeping email a usable message system - but it seems to be going the way of voice phone calls. death by spam.
