Milking the hospital cow 🐄 Factors explaining this: more hospital financial support, huge supply demand imbalance and the death of IR/DR private practice. What the future will hold? Many current IR jobs being replaced by APPs. Bookmark this and tag me 10 years from now,

The American Medical Association (AMA) is being sued over CPT codes. CPT stands for Current Procedural Terminology. These are the codes physicians use every day to describe the care we provide and bill for it. The AMA owns the copyright to these codes, and patients, providers

What I have learned: I’m over the structure of American healthcare. There will be fewer physicians in the future, not more. There will be less incentive to do medicine. It is simply a trade and that is what it is treated like. The best leave. @BKRBusinessMin @DrCorriel

Hospital employment is evil. The level of financial engineering to make a physician look lazy is insane. These C student administrators need to be kept in check. As is the way of the world, they tend to lead the A students. Know the game. linemonkeymd.com/coming-to-term…

One can spend decades and not understand how this game works. Or you do and know what you’re getting into, but don’t act like it’s the norm. Far from it. Employment is fine if that’s what you want. We can’t all be entrepreneurs, but entrepreneurship is essential to advance IR.

You work in a regional referral center in the most commercially rich payer mix in the country with insane FMV. That’s like saying hey look at a 10% proposition in this field and look how awesome it is. I would argue your situation is FAR from the average reality.
