- I hope this didn't come off as a critique of people who charge for photos! If this is your business, you totally should. I more meant that I don't like the idea of monetizing my hobby - but at the same time, if I ever had to use it to make money, I would.Yesterday at a block party a couple asked me to shoot their maternity photos. I told the mom-to-be that I don't take bookings but I'd do it if she didn't have high expectations lol I take photos for the joy of it, not for the $.
