@paolini How advanced were the wartime tactics used by the dragon riders? Re-reading when Shruikan did his show of force over the Varden camp, I imagine a dragon laden with iron Flechettes flying above the clouds would be hard to contend with (if indiscriminate and inaccurate)

@paolini I’m sorry, is this implying dragons were once capable of casting voluntary magic?? One of the “secrets of her race” that Saphira shared not even with Eragon maybe? Or “even such magic as that of the Nameless One”?
