Today’s project: replacing a rusted old metal grate with a precision-cut metal part from @sendcutsend, designed with Claude.
Less than a week from tripping over this to having a purpose-built fix. Claude knows how to speak DXF fluently, so I could just describe the part.
I got inspired by @fulligin’s amazing 3D model of Grace Cathedral last month, so I tried creating a model of Lower Manhattan and used Claude as much as possible.
It went… pretty well, all things considered! And you can play with it in your browser on a phone, too.
