- Many have a toxic, misplaced empathy -always finding a way to explain away the deepest darkest evils of humanity. I don't need to know the minute details of the mental state of someone who strangled 3 children to condemn the act. Evil doesn't need a perfectly healthy mind.Lindsay Clancy had a "psychotic break." Which is why she planned the murder, researched her plan on Google, sent her husband away from the house, and then methodically executed her children over the course of several minutes. I never knew that you could plan your psychotic break
