    More than 48,000 small boat crossing attempts have been prevented through joint work with France since July 2024. Alongside this, 80,000 people with no right to be in the UK have been removed, including 11,733 foreign national offenders.

    The removal of foreign criminals and people illegally in the UK has reached a near-decade high. But there is more to do. New legislation will cut unnecessary delays in the appeals process and speed up the removal of people with no right to be in the UK.
