How long does the hiring process take?

We understand that the application process might be stressful for candidates. This is why we try to be very fast with our hiring process. Most candidates receive their results within 1 week.

What does the hiring process look like?

After reviewing your profile and application, we start the process. First, you will be invited for an introductory call with our Recruitment team. If there is a mutual fit, we will invite you for further interview steps, the number of which dependent on the seniority of the position.

What should I include in my application?

You can submit your application with or without a cover letter. All we need is your CV in PDF format, along with your answers to the role-specific application questions. Our company language is English, so we recommend that you submit your CV in English.

What do I need to prepare for the first interview?

• Think beyond the “what”. We’ll want to understand how you work: how you approach challenges, take responsibility, collaborate, learn from feedback and continue to grow. Specific examples are always more helpful than general statements.
• Know what you’re looking for. Think about why this role is the right next step for you, what you want to learn and where you want to grow. We want people who are deliberate about the opportunities they choose.
• Bring your questions. The interview is a two-way conversation. Ask us about the role, the team, our expectations, our challenges or anything else you need to decide whether refurbed is the right place for you. Tough and thoughtful questions are welcome.

You don’t need to have every answer figured out. Be genuine and open about what you know, what you don’t know yet, and what you’re excited to learn.

What can I expect once I get hired?

Your onboarding starts as soon as the email offer is accepted and continues throughout your first weeks and months at refurbed. Once you’ve accepted your offer, our People Operations team will guide you through everything you need for your start, from contracts, equipment and IT setup to your first-day information. Once your contract is signed, you’ll have a dedicated onboarding specialist who will guide you through your pre-onboarding and onboarding journey.

From your first day of employment, you’ll gradually get to know further your team, our tools and ways of working, and how your role connects to the wider refurbed mission. Your manager, team and People colleagues will be there to support you along the way, with onboarding sessions, resources and opportunities to connect with colleagues across the company.

Our goal is simple: you should always know what happens next, where to find what you need, and who to ask for help.

Can I re-apply if I've been unsuccessful?

Absolutely! Depending on reasons of rejection, usually we ask candidates to wait 6-12 months before applying for another role at refurbed. This gives you time to develop new skills and gain experience so that you can be successful in another interview process in the future. If you were encouraged however to reapply to similar roles sooner and reasons are not related to your skills and experience, then please do so.
