With the rigour of over 20 years in military aviation medicine, Dr. Leonard‑Marin Lupu heads LaMed's CAA-authorised aeromedical centre.
An authorised aeromedical examiner and senior family medicine consultant with over 30 years' experience, Dr. Camelia Bakri co-founded and manages LaMed.
With empathy and openness, Dr. Carmen‑Ioana Blaj provides psychiatric care built on authentic communication, respect and trust in each patient's story.
With an attentive, unhurried approach, Dr. Andreea Iacob provides neurology care built on thorough assessment and time given to every patient.
Dr. Violeta Șerban approaches every consultation with discretion and patience, placing the doctor–patient relationship at the centre of care.
Patient and clear in her explanations, Dr. Alexandra‑Nicoleta Cloșcaru provides pulmonology care built on careful assessment and well-chosen investigations.

Dr. Iulian Enache pairs rigorous neurological assessment with open dialogue, so each patient understands their diagnosis and the next steps.
Dr. Nelu Merliu, a senior consultant in internal medicine, brings to every consultation a balance of professional competence and human qualities, with attention to the patient's overall health.
A specialist in general surgery and a PhD candidate in medical sciences, Dr. Mufid Toron treats every medical act with the utmost seriousness: he takes time to listen, to explain each step and to choose the most suitable solution together with the patient.
A senior consultant in occupational medicine and in medical assessment of work capacity, Dr. Florin Costache is accredited for the medical surveillance of workers exposed to ionising radiation and is an occupational health and safety inspector.

A follow-up costs less than the initial consultation (for example 250 lei in pulmonology, 300 lei in cardiology). Family medicine, neurology, psychiatry, pulmonology and lab tests are also available through the national health insurance house, with a referral letter and a health card.
Transport safety

LaMed Clinic is approved by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure to carry out medical exams for staff with transport safety duties. The commission has the six specialties the law requires, and you also do the psychological assessment at the clinic.

Yes. We hold a contract with the Bucharest health insurance house for family medicine, neurology, psychiatry, pulmonology and the medical analysis laboratory. For specialist consultations you need a referral letter and your health card; for lab tests, the referral from the doctor who requested them. The number of covered appointments is not capped. The other specialties are paid in full, at the clinic list prices.
A valid identity document, your insurance card, a list of the medicines you are currently taking and any relevant medical records: previous reports, recent tests or prescriptions.
The consultation starts with a conversation about your medical history, your lifestyle and the symptoms or concerns you have. The doctor assesses your general condition, carries out the necessary clinical examinations and, where appropriate, recommends further investigations. At the end you receive clear explanations about the findings, the recommendations and the next steps.
Most tests are processed and delivered the same day or within 24 hours at the latest. Only the more complex tests may take up to 48 hours. The laboratory is on site, so we do not send samples elsewhere.
Some tests, such as blood glucose or the lipid profile, require fasting. We tell you in advance if that is the case.
