A justice-focused online major in arts, media, and design
Innovate from anywhere
Creative Technologies at UC Santa Cruz is the first fully online undergraduate major in the UC system. The program is built around the study of creativity in digital environments.
We don’t believe in boxes. Instead of being confined to a single traditional discipline, our students move freely across multiple arts genres to build a contemporary, collaborative, and multimedia practice.
An intentional academic pathway
Our curriculum is intentionally designed to be completed in just two years, making it highly transfer-friendly for students arriving from community colleges or other institutions.
For incoming first-year students, this efficient design leaves ample room in your schedule to explore double majors or minors across UC Santa Cruz.
There is no portfolio required for admission. You apply to the Creative Technologies major the exact same way you would any other major at UCSC, making your journey toward a world-class arts and design degree completely seamless.
