Dear colleagues, partners and friends,
After a tremendous run, Deus X Capital will be closing down by 31st January 2027. It’s a decision that builds on success: since inception, we have delivered annualised returns of 36.5%, and the investors behind us now want to build on that by moving the assets into two new, more focused investment vehicles, Darius Cubed Ventures (https://dariuscubed.com/) and Ninetyfive (https://www.ninetyfive.com/).
Deus X Capital is returning all of its assets and portfolio companies to our investors as part of that planned move to two more focused vehicles. For the portfolio companies, there will be no disruption. The investors behind Deus X will continue to enable the growth and future evolution of these businesses.
As for me, I have been appointed CEO of TensorX, part of the Darius Cubed Ventures portfolio that will focus on AI investments. I have also been appointed Chairman of Deus X Capital portfolio company TradeLocker (https://tradelocker.com/) and I am excited to work with both Ninetyfive and Darius Cubed Ventures as well as the TradeLocker team to continue growing the company to success.
Stuart Connolly, our CIO, who has been a significant driver of our phenomenal returns at Deus X Capital, will remain with the business until it is fully transitioned. In the meantime he is also undertaking a role structuring and managing the portfolio of Ninetyfive, which will focus on trading and markets technology.
Our investors have asked me to pass on their thanks to Stuart and to the leaders of our portfolio companies (and, rather generously, to me) for the results, expertise and passion that have driven the success of Deus X Capital over the last few years. I would add my own thanks to every one of you who was part of it.
While there is, inevitably, more to come… for now, and for Deus X Capital, it is over and out.
Tim Grant, CEO, Deus X Capital.
