[PHP] Wildchars breaks search in "Go to Type" window #9778
For years, in my various instances of Netbeans, queries containing the wildcard "*" character never worked. I thought it wasn't meant to work with PHP. I've recently discovered a trick (disabling case sensitivity then re-enabling it) which fixes the search, and proves that it is a bug.
Another oddity is that searching for the same pattern on the same codebase and same OS can return distinct results. On a slow computer, I get every class in the project. On a fast computer, none. Maybe there's a race condition? The trick with "Case Insensitive" works in both cases.
This bug has been in many releases. Today I reproduced it with NB31 (official binary, OpenJDK 25), NB31 (packaged with OpenJDK 26.0.2+10) and NB 29 (packaged, OpenJDK 25), on two Linux systems.

How to reproduce
Step by step example:
I have a project that contains a class named ExportDestBso (namespaced, but in my experience that's irrelevant).
I open the "Go to Type" window. Both checkboxes are activated ("Case Sensitive" and "Prefer Open Projects").
I search "ExportD", which finds ExportDestBso, among others. OK.
I search "Bso", which does not find ExportDestBso, among others. OK.
I search "*Bso", which finds every class, e.g. "F" in ../leaflet/src/core/Utils.js. ERROR.
I quickly toggle twice the checkbox "Case Sensitive", and I get "No Types Found" (no results). ERROR.
I uncheck "Case Sensitive" and wait for the search to complete, which find ExportDestBso, among many others (e.g ObsoleteText). OK.
I check "Case Sensitive" again, which finds ExportDestBso but not ObsoleteText. OK.
