Every record starts in a city.

Every NOXU record goes back to the source material: the records, machines and rooms that built a scene, reworked for today’s floors.

Hot Mix 5, 1981

WBMX program director Lee Michaels put five DJs on the radio in 1981: Farley Funkin' Keith, Mickey Oliver, Ralphi Rosario, Kenny Jason and Scott Silz. It was the first time Chicago house had a regular home on the dial.

In 1987 Ron Hardy played DJ Pierre's track four times in one night at the Music Box. Trax Records shipped it as Acid Tracks.
