Questions

Do I need this if nothing has happened yet?

That’s the best time to start. Monitoring is a smoke alarm: you want the heads-up before there’s a fire. A year of it costs less than an hour of outside counsel once a conflict has dug in.

What if I just ignore copycats?

Customers end up at a product with a name like yours, and your legal position gets weaker. Trademark offices and courts look at how actively you’ve defended your mark.

Which sources do you scan?

The Apple App Store, Google Play, the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). More are on the way.

How fast will I hear about a match?

We scan every day. New trademark filings and app listings show up in the next run after they’re published.

Do I need to be a lawyer?

No. Trademarc is built for founders and marketing teams. When something is worth pursuing, our guides walk you through takedowns, cease-and-desist letters, and oppositions. For anything serious, bring in a lawyer.

What about false positives?

Dismiss any match in one click and it stays out of your way. Short names default to whole-word matching to keep the noise down.

Does it work with AI agents?

Yes, if you want it to. Trademarc has an MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex can review and update matches for you. Here’s how to connect.

Will you file a takedown for me?

We’re not a law firm, so we don’t file on your behalf. We link straight to each platform’s takedown form, and to attorney directories when you need counsel.

Good name. Let’s keep it that way.
