Your clipboard,
served from the notch.

CopyPasta remembers everything you copy — text, images, screenshots, colors and vectors — and keeps it one hover away. Native, fast, and private by default.

One-time purchase · No subscription · $39.99 · Free 7-day trial · macOS 15 or later

Try it right here

Go on, open the notch.

This is CopyPasta running in your browser, with some sample clips. Search, filter, select a few, drop one on a category — and copy: it really lands on your clipboard.

Private by default

Encrypted on your Mac, with secrets hidden automatically.

Every kind of copy

Text, images, screenshots, files and true vectors.

Keyboard first

Search, select, copy and paste without the mouse.

Native to macOS

Apple Intelligence, Vision OCR and iCloud sync.

Live Demo

Never lose something you copied again.

No more hunting for a link you had yesterday, retyping text from a screenshot, or copying the same thing twice.

Features

Everything you copy. Exactly how you copied it.

Clipboard capture

It keeps the good stuff. Untouched.

Text, images, screenshots and vector graphics are saved the moment you copy them. Shapes copied from Photoshop or Affinity stay crisp vectors, not flattened pixels.

  • Identical copies in a row collapse into a single entry.
  • Hex, RGB and similar color values appear as cards filled with that color.
  • Passwords and secrets are recognized and hidden automatically.

Paste Stack

Fill in a form without switching back and forth.

Press ⇧⌘C and copy what you need, one thing after another. Then each ⌘V pastes the next clip, in order, in any app.

  • Start one with ⇧⌘C or from the menu bar, or select cards in the shelf and click Stack.
  • A small pill under the notch shows what pastes next. Hover it to see the whole stack.
  • Paste the last clip first instead, skip a clip, or take one out of the stack.
  • Each clip pastes with its formatting, and the stack ends by itself after the last one.

Screenshots & OCR

Text in pictures, finally selectable.

CopyPasta reads the text in every screenshot on your Mac, so you can select it, copy it, and find it later by searching for any word in it.

  • Recognized text sits in a resizable pane next to the image.
  • Every screenshot becomes part of your searchable history.

Colors

Copy a color. Get a whole palette.

Hex and RGB values show up as cards filled with the color itself. Open one to fine-tune it on a color wheel and find palettes that go with it.

  • Pick a nearby shade on the wheel, or adjust its brightness.
  • Copy it as HEX, RGB or HSL in one click.
  • Seven matching palettes, from complementary to shades & tints. Copy one swatch or all of them.
  • Every card opens in its own window: JSON comes formatted, text can be summarized with Apple Intelligence.

Passwords & secrets

Your passwords, hidden in plain sight.

CopyPasta spots passwords, API keys and tokens the moment you copy them and hides them behind dots. They’re there when you need them — never for someone glancing at your screen.

  • Copies that 1Password, Bitwarden or Apple Passwords mark as private are never saved at all.
  • Recognizes passwords, .env lines and keys from AWS, GitHub, Stripe, Slack, OpenAI, Google, npm and more.
  • For 10 minutes after copying, a click shows it. After that, showing, copying or pasting it needs Touch ID or your Mac password.
  • Hidden secrets are left out of search, so typing a guess can’t confirm one.
  • When you paste a secret, it’s marked private again so other clipboard apps don’t record it.
  • Mark anything as a secret yourself — or tell CopyPasta something isn’t one.

Hidden secret Copy

CopyPasta

CopyPasta is trying to show a saved password or secret.

Touch ID or enter your password

Private by default.
Not as an afterthought.

Your clipboard holds passwords, addresses and private notes. CopyPasta treats it that way from the very first copy.

Encrypted on disk

Everything you copy is stored encrypted with AES-256, including the copy in iCloud. The key stays in your Keychain, and nothing is ever saved unencrypted.

Secrets stay hidden

Anything that looks like a password or API key is detected and masked automatically.

Touch ID to look back

Viewing anything copied more than 10 minutes ago requires your password or biometrics.

On-device intelligence

Text recognition runs on your Mac, and Apple Intelligence handles summaries and rewrites.

Your iCloud, your data

Sync between your Macs through your own iCloud account, still encrypted. No CopyPasta account required.

Thoughtful details

Feels like it came with your Mac.

Customize it to fit how you work.

Change how it opens, how big the cards are and how much history it keeps, until it feels right on your Mac.

iCloud sync

Your history follows you to every Mac.

Auto-updates

New versions install themselves quietly.

Paste in place

↩ pastes straight into the app you were using.

Always on top

Pin a detail window above everything as a reference.

JSON formatter

Messy payloads become readable in one click.

Smart duplicates

Copying the same thing twice leaves just one card.

Pinned clips

Pin what you reuse. It gets its own tab and is never cleared.

Pause capture

Stop saving copies for a while, then pick up where you left off.

Keyboard

Built for keyboard fans too.

Everything in the popup works from the keyboard. Your hands stay where they are, and your flow stays unbroken.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is CopyPasta?

A clipboard manager for macOS that lives in your notch. It remembers everything you copy, so you can find it, preview it and paste it again whenever you need it. Hover the notch or press ⌃⌘C to open it.

Which version of macOS do I need?

macOS 15 Sequoia or later. CopyPasta works on every Mac that runs it, with or without a notch.

Does CopyPasta need a Mac with a notch?

No. On Macs and displays without a notch, CopyPasta places a virtual notch in the middle of the menu bar, and ⌃⌘C opens it from anywhere.

What kinds of content does CopyPasta save?

Text, links, code, JSON, colors, vector graphics, images, screenshots and files. Each gets its own card and preview: code is highlighted, JSON is formatted, colors come with matching palettes, and the text in screenshots becomes searchable.

Where is my clipboard history stored?

On your Mac, encrypted with AES-256. The key is kept in your Keychain. If you turn on iCloud sync, your history is shared between your own Macs through your iCloud account and stays encrypted there too.

Does anything I copy ever leave my Mac?

No. CopyPasta has no servers for your clipboard and no analytics. Text recognition and Apple Intelligence run on your Mac. The only things it sends are your license key when you activate it, and update checks. If you turn on iCloud sync, your history goes to your own iCloud account, never to us.

How are passwords handled?

Text that looks like a password or secret is hidden automatically. Viewing anything copied more than 10 minutes ago requires your Mac password or Touch ID.

Can I pause capture?

Yes. Choose Pause Capture from the menu bar icon, and CopyPasta stops saving what you copy until you resume. You can also make it ignore certain apps for good, and copies that password managers mark as private are never saved.

Does CopyPasta need a subscription?

No. CopyPasta is a one-time purchase: buy a license once and keep using it, with lifetime updates. Try every feature free for 7 days first, no payment details needed.

Can I use CopyPasta on more than one Mac?

Yes. When you buy, choose how many Macs the license covers. To move it to a new Mac, deactivate it in Settings on the old one. Turn on iCloud sync and your history follows you between them.

What happens when the trial ends?

CopyPasta shows a short prompt with a link to buy a license and a field to enter your key. Your history stays right where it was.

Will items in my categories be deleted?

Never. Items you put in a custom category are kept permanently, no matter how long your history is set to last.

How do updates work?

CopyPasta updates itself automatically, so you always have the latest version.
