"Edit as HTML" for Stretchy Text block variations deletes content

Description

When using the "Edit as HTML" option for a Heading or Paragraph block using the Stretchy Text block variation, the block content is removed.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

1. Make a paragraph or heading block
2. Write anything in it such as "Content"
3. Apply the Stretchy Text block variation for that block
4. In the block toolbar kebab menu, select "Edit as HTML"

Observe: the text written in Step 2 is gone. Expected outcome: Content of block is retained.

I'm able to reproduce personally.

I was able to reproduce but only on safari on chrome it works well. It is a strange issue it does not affects just transforms even pasting this on the code editor on safari:

And then doing edit as html on the block does not show the content. But it is there it is saved and works on the frontend.
Not sure why edit as html on safari remove content in this case.

It did not occur to me that this could be a browser issue, but it seems to be. It only impacts me in Firefox on Win 10. Chrome seems fine.

Making this one as blocked as it will probably not be an issue when #73890 is merged.

Unfortunately switching back to the toggle approach did not fixed the issue. I'm looking for a fix.
