I modified the doctest with the change below, ran diff --git a/Modules/itertoolsmodule.c b/Modules/itertoolsmodule.c

We have one doctest in
Modules/itertoolsmodule.cand none intest_itertolls.pyso this is definitely a bug like issue #131069
