Judging Criteria
-
Innovation & Creativity
This category evaluates how original and inventive the idea is. Judges should consider whether the team introduced a new concept, unique approach, or creative improvement on an existing solution. Strong entries clearly explain why their idea is different. -
Pitch Clarity & Team Understanding
This category evaluates how clearly the team communicates their idea, problem statement, and solution, and how well they understand their own project. -
Impact & Value
This category assesses how well the project addresses the Mega Hacks challenge or prompt and the solution's real-world value. Focuses on the problem's clarity, who benefits, and whether the solution could create meaningful change for users. -
Feasibility & Scalability
This category measures whether the solution is practical and realistic. Evaluated on whether the team considered technical, time, and resource constraints, and whether the idea could realistically grow, scale, or be adopted in the real world. -
Technical Execution
This category evaluates the quality of the implementation and the team’s use of technology. The focus is on whether the technology effectively supports the idea—not just complexity for its own sake. -
User Experience & Design
This category assesses how intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly the solution is. Consider both usability and visual design, including layout, navigation, accessibility, and how well the design supports the idea.
